Oil Changes

A regular oil change is one of the simplest, most effective and inexpensive ways to help protect the life of your car. Oil safeguards your engine by reducing friction, lessening wear, lubricating, as well as forming a seal between pistons and cylinder walls to cool engine parts. We at Division Car Care recommend that you have an oil change once every 10,000 miles or every 5,000 miles if you regularly use your care in heavy weather conditions. Where and how you drive also influences how often you should change your oil. Other factors include heat, towing/hauling, and driving where there’s dust and sand.

New York State Inspections

The New York State vehicle safety inspection program helps ensure vehicles registered in New York state meet minimum standards for safe operation. Most vehicles are also required to have an emissions inspection to help reduce air pollution. At Division Car Care our main priority is to ensure that your vehicle is both well-maintained and equipped for highway use

Brakes

When you press down on the brake pedal, the master cylinder pressurizes a system of hydraulic brake lines leading to each of the vehicle’s wheels, where brake pads or shoes press against a disc or drum and create the necessary friction needed to slow the vehicle to a complete stop. Over time, this friction and heat wear down the brake shoes, brake pads, calipers, brake rotors, and other braking components.

It is important to have routine brake inspections and maintain your brakes to prevent major damage to your brake rotors and calipers.
